Airmaster Dedicates Feathers to Former Colleagues as Part of Rotherham Hospice Appeal
Airmaster has honoured the memory of two much-loved colleagues by dedicating feathers in their names as part of the Rotherham Hospice Feather Appeal at Wentworth Woodhouse.
The Feather Appeal is a poignant community project, offering families, friends, and organisations the chance to dedicate a hand-crafted steel feather in memory of a loved one. The feathers are displayed within the grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse, creating a striking and heartfelt tribute.
Airmaster has chosen to dedicate two feathers to Joint Managing Director, Mark Staniland, and Senior Contracts Manager, Michael Archbould.

Mark Staniland passed away in 2019 after being diagnosed with Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone and soft tissue cancer. He was a hugely respected leader at Airmaster and a driving force in the company’s growth and culture.

Just a year later, the Airmaster family suffered another heartbreaking loss when Michael Archbould passed away at the age of just 32 from ARVC (Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy), a rare inherited cardiac disease. Michael was a dedicated and talented member of the team, well-liked by colleagues and clients alike for his professionalism, positivity, and commitment.
By dedicating these feathers, Airmaster has created a lasting tribute to Mark and Michael — recognising the invaluable contribution both men made to the business, and ensuring their legacy lives on.
Lisa Pogson, Managing Director of Airmaster, said: “Mark and Michael were not only valued colleagues but also dear friends to many of us at Airmaster. Their passing left a huge gap in our team, and we continue to miss them every day. Dedicating these feathers is a way of keeping their memory alive, while also supporting the incredible work of Rotherham Hospice. It means a great deal to us to know their names will be part of such a meaningful tribute in such a beautiful setting.”
Airmaster continues to support local charities and community initiatives, with this dedication reflecting the company’s commitment to honouring those who have shaped its journey and values.
