About Airmaster

Based in Swallownest in Sheffield, Airmaster was formed in 1992 as an Air Conditioning specialist and has developed and grown into a £9 Million turnover Mechanical Services Contractor.

We carry out projects from £2K up to £2.5 Million, throughout the UK and most of the work carried out is designed in house. We currently hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation and plan to achieve ISO 45001. We are proud to be Investors in People and invest in training and development of staff and associated contractors. #TeamAirmaster.

We have a Contracts team carrying out fit out works to offices, labs, leisure and educational establishments, working on AC plant, from split systems to VRF/VRV, air handling and ventilation units, all over the UK (many projects in the South). This is high end CAT A and CAT B fit out work, where we often work with exposed services; much of this work is Consultant driven and fast paced.  We pride ourselves in repeat business across a number of customers, as well as working across smaller works installations and heat pumps, as required. Our staff have been with us for a number of years and positions have been filled with promotions from within the company.  Generally vacancies arise from expansion.

Our Apprenticeships

Our apprentices are 18 years old or above; they study at Leeds College of Building towards a City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations.

The roles include working from site across the UK from Monday to Friday as part of our Contracts or Maintenance teams.

A CSCS card is required but is not essential as that can be gained after starting. Apprentices are required to go through a DBS check to work from site. Driving license or learning to drive will be a requirement.

Apprentice Profile

Chad Lake came to us in September 2018 after answering a Facebook post looking for an apprentice to join the Contracts Team. He is currently in his 3rd year at Leeds College of Building and has really worked hard, alongside his colleagues, Ashley Sanderson and Bradley Kimpton, who work in the maintenance team.

Lisa Pogson, Managing Director said “We are delighted to continue Airmaster’s track record with apprenticeships, investing and developing our people is important for the future growth of the business and he is already proving to be a valuable member of our team working on some of our major projects. They are all on the same course and are doing really well. They all passed their FGas qualifications and their Level 2 NVQ this year.”
