Airmaster Mechanical Design Engineer Sam Casadei achieves Incorporated Engineer status
Airmaster Air Conditioning Ltd is celebrating the professional achievement of Mechanical Design Engineer Sam Casadei, who has gained Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with the Engineering Council and Associate Membership (ACIBSE) of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
The recognition marks another important milestone in Sam's engineering career and reflects his commitment to professional development and building services engineering.
Sam, from Barnsley, joined Swallownest-based Airmaster as a Mechanical Design Engineer while studying for his MEng in Interdisciplinary Engineering, specialising in Energy and Sustainability, at the University of Sheffield.
Having initially joined the company for an industrial placement, Sam has developed his technical expertise through practical experience working on building services design projects, combining his academic knowledge with the demands of real-world engineering applications.
His role involves thermal modelling of buildings, undertaking design calculations and specifying the size and location of air conditioning equipment to deliver efficient and effective building services solutions.
Sam has also contributed to Airmaster's sustainability initiatives, including reviewing the company's energy consumption and investigating opportunities to reduce its environmental impact through renewable technologies such as solar panels, heat pumps and water reuse.
His latest achievement follows his previous academic success, having achieved First Class results during his engineering studies.
Incorporated Engineer (IEng) is a professional registration awarded by the Engineering Council to engineers who demonstrate the required levels of technical knowledge, competence and professional commitment. Registration recognises an engineer's ability to apply established and emerging technologies to engineering challenges and take responsibility for the delivery of engineering solutions.
Sam's registration, through CIBSE, was officially awarded on 10 July 2026. His Associate Membership of CIBSE further demonstrates his commitment to maintaining high professional standards and continuing his development within the building services industry.
Lisa Pogson, Managing Director of Airmaster, said: "We are incredibly proud of Sam for achieving Incorporated Engineer status and Associate Membership of CIBSE. It's a fantastic professional achievement and recognition of the hard work and commitment he has shown in developing his engineering career.
"At Airmaster, we are passionate about supporting people to develop their skills, gain qualifications and progress professionally. Sam is a great example of how combining academic learning with practical industry experience can create opportunities for talented young engineers.
"His knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability is particularly valuable as we continue to support customers in making their buildings more efficient and reducing their environmental impact."
Airmaster has a long-standing commitment to investing in its people, supporting apprenticeships, higher education and professional qualifications across the business. As an employee-owned company, developing the next generation of engineering talent is an important part of its long-term approach to sustainable growth.
Sam's achievement is another example of the technical expertise and professional development that underpin Airmaster's design, installation and maintenance services for customers across the UK.
Congratulations to Sam on achieving IEng and ACIBSE status!
