What Our People Say

Lesley McNeill is Airmaster’s Business Support Manager. Her career started as an apprentice in the textile industry and in 2005 she joined Airmaster as service coordinator.

Lesley says: Customer satisfaction is key- if our customers are happy, I’m happy. And a happy team. I want to be a great manager and when my team call me that, that’s what gives me the most job
satisfaction. I guess keeping my whole team motivated is a challenge, for example we always have more callouts and breakdowns in the summer months, it’s the nature of the industry, which can create long hours. That has a knock-on effect on our administration team with a lot more paperwork created.

I like every day being a different day. It’s certainly never boring, we’re always busy. It’s a lovely flexible job with a fabulous team inside and out of the business. They are all trustworthy safe hands, which gives me peace of mind. 

My grandmother inspires me. She passed away 20 years ago but she was a wonderful women who did good, helped everyone and always treated others as she would have liked to be treated. A real positive figure in my life at the time, steering me in the right direction. I’d like to think I show her attributes. Outside work I enjoy being with my family, swimming, gardening and getting out into the countryside walking. 

People probably don’t know that I once had to handle an aeroplane crash at Sheffield airport when I was duty manager.
