What Our People Say

Jo Mills

Service & Maintenance Coordinator Maintenance

Jo Mills is a Service and Maintainance Coordinator with Airmaster, she joined the business in 2022 but her colleagues would say it feels longer!

Her first job on leaving education was as a Retail Assistant at Morrisons. Jo’s job involves scheduling the best maintenance engineers and teams for work programs, preparation of reports, quotations and timesheets for invoicing of maintenance work, dealing with suppliers and sub-contractors including ordering parts if required, liaising with the customer on the maintenance issue and keeping them updated on engineers and parts coming to site. Assisting the team on ensuring staff comply with
health and safety procedures, have the right PPE and ISO standards are met.

Jo is also on the employee group as part of the Employee Ownership Trust which means we get to influence how the employee ownership trust is run and benefits the employees.

Her favourite thing about working at Airmaster is interacting with customers and the team. Jo has followed into the family line of logistics without realising it. Her Dad worked for Tinsley Wire in
Logistics and her brother is a logistics manager in the engineering sector and the main element of Jo’s job is scheduling and managing the logistics in the maintenance team at Airmaster now.

Outside of work Jo likes spending time with her family and her dog, Kieser a daschund who thinks he’s an Alsatian! And holidays including lots of time outside in the fresh air.

An unusual fact people are unlikely to know “I have an obsession with aircraft, I can tell you the type of aircraft just from the sound even when it’s 30,000 ft above you. I have a flight tracker on my phone so I can check where a passing plane is going, my colleagues and our suppliers have been known to send pictures of planes and engines from the airport when going on holiday.”
